Breaking Change:
Removal of add_to_wishlist Event in Free Version: Please note that starting with version 2.0, the ‘add_to_wishlist’ event will no longer be supported in the free version of GTM Kit. Users requiring this feature are encouraged to consider the GTM Kit Woo Add-On for continued functionality.
Enhancements:
Notifications Handler: A new notifications handler has been added to effectively communicate issues and important notifications that require your attention. This feature ensures you stay informed about crucial aspects affecting your tracking setup.
Conflict Warning for Other GTM Plugins: To prevent potential issues, GTM Kit now includes a warning notification when other Google Tag Manager plugins that may cause conflicts are detected to be active.
SEO Plugin Recommendation for WooCommerce Users: To leverage a default category in data layer items, WooCommerce users are advised to install a supported SEO plugin, enhancing data accuracy and utility in analytics.
Other Updates:
Enhanced Code Analysis with PHPStan: The PHPStan analysis level has been increased to 6, significantly improving static code analysis and allowing us to catch potential issues earlier in the development process.
Updated Requirements: This version requires WordPress 6.3, WooCommerce 8.3, and PHP 7.4 to ensure optimal performance and compatibility.
