New Template Assistant
We’ve introduced a Template Assistant to help you create your own custom Google Tag Manager templates.
This is especially useful if you:
- Build or maintain your own GTM tags, triggers, or variables
- Want a faster, more structured way to scaffold templates
- Need a cleaner workflow when sharing or reusing GTM logic
The assistant guides you through the process and removes much of the manual friction when working with GTM templates.
Custom Order-Received Page Detection
You can now define a custom page that should be treated as the order-received / thank-you page.
This is ideal for setups where:
- The default WooCommerce endpoint is overridden
- Orders complete on a custom route or page
- You want more control over when purchase events fire
More flexibility, fewer tracking edge cases.
Improved Debug Information for Purchases
Debugging WooCommerce purchases just got easier.
The debug info panel now includes a check that verifies whether WooCommerce purchase events have been recorded in the logs.
This data is included directly in the debug output, making it much easier to:
- Diagnose missing or duplicated purchase events
- Share meaningful diagnostics with support
- Validate that your tracking setup is actually firing as expected
Bug Fixes
- Fixed an edge case where product quantity was 0 in the dataLayer If the quantity element is missing, GTM Kit now safely defaults it to 1, ensuring valid and consistent ecommerce data.
Compatibility & Requirements
Tested up to
- WooCommerce 10.3
- WordPress 6.9
Minimum requirements
- WooCommerce 9.4
